Reservations
It is always best to make reservations in advance, as our space is limited. To request a new reservation, please send an email to swiss@labri.org with the following information: Name, Gender, Dates of Attendance, Phone Number, Allergies, as well as some information about yourself and why you would like to come. Have you studied at a college/university? If so, where did you study and what was your focus? If you have been working, at what job?

If your reservation is accepted and your plans change and you have to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make space available for others who may want to come. We also ask that you reconfirm your reservation with us at least two weeks prior to your arrival date. This will help us insure that spaces don't go empty when we have a waiting list of people. Due to Swiss law we are not allowed to accept anyone under 18 years of age.

**** Special Note Posted June 7th, 2011 *****

In light of the continuing difficult economic situation for many people, Swiss L'Abri has decided to lower Student Fees for the foreseeable future, beginning with the Autumn Term 2011. We hope and pray this reduction is helpful for anyone who would like to come, as we know some students struggle with finances.

As of August 2011 the student fees are as follows:
40 Swiss francs per night for stays from 2 nights to 6 weeks.
30 Swiss francs per night for stays of 6 weeks and over.

Stays of less than 2 nights will not normally be possible.

These fees include a local Swiss tax of approximately 5 Swiss francs per person, per night.

Contact us for Special rates if you would like to be with us for the whole term. To take advantage of these rates, you will be asked to pay your full fees in advance or upon arrival !

Student fees may be paid in any currency at the going rate of exchange (please email swiss@labri.org for the rate if you would like to pay via paypal). Payment may be made in the form of cash, check, travelers check, or credit card (via paypal). For students who plan to pay via paypal, we would encourage you to set up your account prior to leaving home. Please insure that you have all of the information necessary for paying your student fees. For detailed instructions on paying via paypal, please click here. Please note: All paypal payments should be made in US dollars and include a 3% service fee. Also, some students choose to use their credit/debit cards to withdraw cash at the bank in the nearby village of Villars .

Please be aware that L’Abri operates financially on a month by month basis. Therefore, whether you are coming for a longer or shorter time, you will need to pay your student fees within the first week of your arrival.

If someone other than (you) the student will be making payment on their behalf (for example, parents), please arrive with all of the necessary arrangements in place in order that student fees can be taken care of in a responsible and timely manner.

All students, regardless of your length of time with us, may pay their fees in advance of coming and we would strongly encourage you to consider this payment option. Should you have to cancel, we will refund your fees, minus a small admininstrative charge of fifty dollars.

If you will be studying at Swiss L'Abri, and are not a European, we recommend that you be familiar with travel issues, lengths of stay, and visa requirements. Check with your embassy or other appropriate informers about these details. Should be you planning a longer visit as a non-European, you might want to seriously consider entry into and exit out of Europe, via France or Italy. If you are coming from another country, we strongly advise you to have adequate medical/accident insurance as L'Abri cannot be responsible for any costs arising from illness or hospitalization.
