
Saturday Seminars 2011
Occasional seminars are held on Saturdays throughout the year. These are usually topical and go from 10 AM to 9 PM. A variety of speakers are involved. These seminars provide a good opportunity for locals to enjoy good teaching and fellowship. Please book in by the previous Wednesday to enable catering. Cost $25 includes lunch and dinner.
It is hoped to extend these to other locations in Australia and New Zealand. Please contact L'Abri Australia if you are willing to act as host.

Topic: Christ & Culture
• Should Christians be involved in the culture?
• How do we resist the changing values which are increasingly anti-Christian? Should we work politically towards bringing the culture back to Christian values?
• How do we affect change in our culture which is Godly?
• Are Christians just another societal group with their own agenda? Are we simply imposing these on an increasingly unsympathetic society?
These issues will be addressed by Jock in lectures and discussion:

Reference will be made to three books - 'Christ & Culture' by HR Niebuhr, 'Culture Making' by Andy Crouch and 'To change the World' by JD Hunter
Arrival is from 9:30am for a 10am start. Lectures are at 10am, about 3pm and 7pm, finishing by 9pm.
